Zani Mcennally is an artist from the Northern Beaches of Sydney, currently working the earth out of Bangalow, NSW. She values functionality and simplicity, highlighting the beauty of natural colours and materials.
After graduating with a diploma of Ceramics from Sydney Uni, The Clay Barn was born in 2017. Developing her craft through self-taught techniques, Zani now operates out of a barn with three kilns and six wheels, continuing to grow a loyal community of students and customers globally.
Along with her studio assistant, Zani teaches hand building and wheel throwing classes, along with unique workshops, events and more.
Working the earth together is a profound experience; a unique opportunity to seek pause and pleasure in the flow of daily life. Artists, brands and locals are invited to join her in the pleasure of ceramic production, and encourages collaboration in all forms.
